As the journey towards the climax of golden jubilee celebration still continues, many stakeholders are coming up with their contributions to further the preparations for the celebration. St. Peter’s (Utale 1) Catholic Parish, for example, donated a bull to the diocesan golden jubilee main committee to assist in food preparation.
In an interview, Fr. John Matiki who is the parish priest of this parish, said that he saw it necessary for his parish to take part in the preparations for the golden jubilee celebration. “Utale 1 parish is one of the parishes found in this diocese. As the diocese clocks fifty years, we have to thank God and take part in the preparations. I also encourage other people of good will to support more,” said Fr. Matiki.
The Diocese of Mangochi will clock fifty years of existence, this year since its creation in 1973. The golden jubilee celebration will take place on September 30.
