It has been communicated to all concerned people that the date for the dinner and dance of the diocese of Mangochi which was supposed to take place at Mount Soche hotel on 11th August 2023 has been shifted to 08th September, 2023 at the same venue. The decision to postpone the date was made on 02nd August, after the organizing committee released that on the following day, just after that fund-raising activity, some people will be heading to the Diocese of Zomba to attend the consecration ceremony of the new Bishop, Very Reverend Alfred Chaima. This bishop elect comes from the archdiocese of Blantyre, where this fund-raising activity will take place. As church, people will have tough time for the two big events.
This change of the date has also created an opportunity to sell more tickets to the interested people, since according to the chairperson of Events committee at the diocese level, Mr. Ronald Chikoti, few tickets were sold by the time this decision was made and this was a sign that people were then not ready for the event.
