Some of the Christians at St. Joseph- Namalaka Catholic parish which is found in the diocese of Mangochi got confirmed on Sunday, the 07th May, 2023 when Bishop Stima visited this parish. On the same day, the parish was also celebrating the feast of its patron saint, St. Joseph the worker.
During the Eucharistic Mass, bishop Montfort Stima who also presided over it said that through the sacrament of Confirmation, Christians get confirmed for the work of evangelization. The Holy Spirit confirms and commissions them to preach to all people and this can be done effectively by good example of their life. The Christians were also advised to be hard workers by following the example of St. Joseph, the husband of Blessed Virgin Mary, not misusing the different gifts which the Holy Spirit gives to people for the good of the Church and for integral human development.
On this day, 28 Christians received the sacrament of confirmation. St. Joseph- Namalaka catholic parish is among the five parishes that are found in the deanery of Mangochi of this diocese.
