The bishop of the diocese of Mangochi Rt. Rev. Montfort Stima, on 13th October 2022, made a Pastoral visit to Mbera parish. While he was there, the bishop also visited St. Charles Lwanga (Mwaye) church which is in this parish. The meeting started with Eucharistic sacrifice which was led by Rt. Rev. Montfort Stima.
Speaking to the lay faithful, Bishop Stima encouraged them to seek salvation so that they can save others. He also said that Christians have to preach the message of hope to the people across the world and that they have to live an exemplary life to the society without pretending of being holy. He advised them to be united by working together with the help of the Holy Spirit who brings fruits like love, unity, peace and joy just to mention a few.
In his remarks, the chairperson of Mbera parish, Mr. Raphael Taulo, said that they were in darkness on several aspects, but the visit of bishop Stima will change the way of their living as they were reminded about Christian life like the reception of sacraments and practicing charity works.
Mbera parish is among twenty-five parishes of the diocese of Mangochi.
